Scott Pruitt, the Republican nominee to replace Drew Edmondson as the stateís attorney general, is a former state senator and is co-owner and managing general partner of the Oklahoma City Redhawks triple-A baseball team in Oklahoma City. This month, he answers our 20 Questions.

Whoís your favorite Oklahoman, living or dead, real or fictional?
Bobby Murcer. He was someone I knew personally. Not only was he a great Oklahoman, but he was an absolute gentleman. Bobby truly was an ambassador for Oklahoma, and an ardent advocate for the game of baseball.
 
Whatís the best meal youíve eaten in Oklahoma?
Iím a big fan of beef and always welcome a good steak or hamburger. In Tulsa, Brownies Hamburger Stand has fantastic burgers while Mahoganyís is my choice for a good steak and starch. In the Oklahoma City area, Nicís Grill has my favorite hamburger while The Boulevard Steakhouse is still my favorite place to eat beef.
 
In one sentence, what do you actually do all day in your job?
My work days consist of me writing, analyzing, communicating and leading every day whether itís in business or in law.  
 
Whatís the last movie you saw at the theater?
I last saw ďUpĒ with my wife and kiddos.
 
Have you ever met anyone famous?
Benjamin Netanyahu, Mike Huckabee, Nolan Ryan. A couple years ago I met Derek Jeter, Marioano Rivera and a few other notable Yankee players. However, last year Joe Girardi and I spent time together at Yankee Stadium for a leadership meeting. He and I both addressed a group the morning after the Yankeeís last baseball game in Yankee Stadium.
 
Whatís your drink?
Coffee is by far my favorite drink. Orange juice comes in at a very close second place.

 What was your first car?
I owned a used 1978 white Chevy Blazer. It got me from point A to point B.
 
Whatís your favorite medicine?
I donít take medicine very much but if I had to choose, I would say my vitamin supplements. I try to eat healthy and avoid medications.

How often do you prepare your own meals?
Every day. For breakfast I like to eat raisin bread with almond butter and fruit.

What was your favorite musical group when you were in junior high?
I was so focused on athletics and baseball during my childhood that I didnít spend a lot of time listening to music. However, when I did listen, my friends and I listened primarily to Ronnie Millsapís country music.
 
Whatís hanging on your office wall?
My walls contain a lot of memorabilia including, among other items, a Josh Hamilton signed jersey and a Texas Rangers jersey signed by the entire team during A-Rodís last year.
 
Whenís bedtime?
I donít have a set time. Rather, I fall asleep to a good book.

Whatís the name of your pet?
Winston. He was named specifically after Winston Churchill.
 
When was the last time you went to Bricktown?
Often.
 
What do you hate most about living in Oklahoma?
The 105 degree temperatures are pretty tough for me to handle.

OU...but I like the color orange!

I donít drink either. Can I get a cup of coffee?
 
Where do you go to be alone?
My home office.
 
What makes someone an Oklahoman?
Oklahomanís have a pioneering spirit that guide and direct our state. They are optimistic and entrepreneurs by nature.
