Brown to join Wildcatters Hall of Honor

OIPA board of directors member Pete Brown will be the newest member of the Wildcatters Hall of Honor.

Brown will be inducted during the OIPA Fall Conference’s Fall Banquet, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27.

An OIPA member since 1973, Brown joined the OIPA’s Wildcatters Club and the association’s board of directors in 1984. He served as the OIPA president in 1991 and 1992 and was named member of the year in 1995, the same year he became chairman of the OERB.

Currently a member of the OIPA’s legislative committee, Brown was instrumental in passing legislation establishing the OERB during his term as the association’s president.

He has held the additional offices of secretary, treasurer and vice-president west of OIPA.

The Wildcatters Hall of Honor distinction is presented to Wildcatter Club members who have distinguished themselves in supporting independent producer issues and candidates through the association’s political action effort.
