Wildcatter Wednesday Luncheon packages available; Lamb to speak at first event

August 08, 2017
The OIPA’s Wildcatter Wednesday monthly luncheons will resume Sept. 6, allowing OIPA members and guests a chance to hear from industry and political speakers, network and support the OIPA’s advocacy efforts at the state Capitol and in Washington, D.C.

Pre-paid luncheon packages are now available for individuals and tables of 10. New this year are exhibitor packages that offer a limited number of booths at the luncheons in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City luncheons will again take place at Embassy Suites Hotel, 741 N. Phillips Avenue. Tulsa luncheons will return to the Tulsa Country Club.

Individual luncheon registration prices are $45 in advance and $60 the day of the event. Table prices per luncheon are $500.

Single-luncheon tickets will be available in the weeks before each event.

Oklahoma Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb, R-Edmond, will open the season at the Sept. 6 luncheon in Oklahoma City. Lamb is a candidate for governor in 2018.

Lamb was elected in 2010 after a six-year career in the state Senate, where he was the first Republican Majority Floor Leader in state history.

He was previously a special agent with the U.S. Secret Service and served in the administration of Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating.

He holds a law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law and has worked in the private sector as a landman in Oklahoma’s energy industry.
