Bartlett files for mayor's race

July 14, 2009
TOPICS: OIPA
OIPA board member Dewey Bartlett Jr. was one of eight people to officially enter the Tulsa mayor's race. Bartlett, the 2009 OIPA Member of the Year, is president of Tulsa Keener Oil & Gas and a former city councilor. He was the only one of the major political figures who have held formal announcements to submit his filing.

Joining him were truck driver David O'Connor, contract petroleum geologist Paul Roales and political unknown Michael Tomes Sr., who are all Republicans.

Also filing for the city's top spot were perennial candidates Robert Gwin Jr., Paul Tay, Accountability Burns and Prophet Kelly Clark, who are Democrats.
