TOPICS: OIPA
by Ronnie Irani
OIPA Capital Campaign Chairman

History has been made at the OIPA.

On January 10 and 11, association staff members made their move from the Landmark Towers in northwest Oklahoma City to the OIPA's newly-constructed headquarters at Fourth and Lincoln.

Since 1955, the OIPA has battled at the Oklahoma state legislature, the Corporation Commission and other government bodies where our business interests are at risk. Today, the OIPA is the predominant energy industry political player in the state, and our OKIEpac has become the predominant energy industry political action committee.

Because much of the OIPA's lobbying efforts are done at the Capitol and in neighboring state office buildings, an association headquarters near the Capitol will give staff members greater access to legislators and policy makers.

We are facing a new era for the OIPA thanks to our new headquarters. We will be more visible. We will be more active. We will grow stronger.

And even though construction is completed and our staff has made their move into their new home, it's not too late for you to become a part of it.

We continue to add to our growing list of Capital Campaign donors. For those who have not made a contribution to our building efforts, I encourage you to consider it. The check you write today leaves a legacy for tomorrow.
